Govt allows all shops except those in markets to open with 50% employees

The government has allowed all non-essential shops to open with 50% employees. It further said that wearing of masks and social distancing would be mandatory in the shops. The prohibition on shops in malls and market complexes within the limits of municipal corporations would remain in place. It further clarified that the relaxations aren’t applicable in hotspots and containment zones.




However, the order signed by Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, made it clear that shops in market places, multi-brand and single brand malls located in municipality areas shall continue to remain closed till May
