Though Indians are known for their helpfulness, Punjabis have no competition when it comes to unconditional help or otherwise known as, Nishkaam Seva. Such an instance was seen in Amritsar at Atari Station where Punjab Police served food to the stranded Pakistani Visitors.

The visitors were stranded on the Atari station as the Pakistani authorities canceled the Samjhauta Express which was supposed to depart from Lahore. Following this around 50 Pakistani passengers were stranded on the Railway Station without any food. The Punjab police came forward to feed the stranded Pakistani passengers.

The departure of the passenger was later arranged by the authorities from India through the Attari-Wagah joint check post. This incident took place during the tensions between both countries.
