Cricket fans have always loved Rahul Dravid’s skills as a batsman but his humble facet in a recent incident will definitely make him more lovable.

On winning the Under-19 world cup, in New Zealand, BCCI announced cash rewards for the Under-19 Indian cricket team coach i.e. Rahul Dravid (Rs. 50lakhs), the support staff (Rs.20 lakhs) and each of the players (Rs.30 lakhs).

Rahul Dravid objected and humbly requested that he should not have been given the larger share of the prize money as the efforts put in by his staff were equal since it had been a teamwork. He  said either pay me less or pay other staffs high too.

Dravid told the board that everyone involved, from the support staff to the players, played an equal part in the Under-19 team’s success in New Zealand. This is quintessential Dravid, who remains a consummate team man.
